Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

I really wanted to write an eloquent review about Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed and how I thought it was a well-balanced documentary. It’s difficult because I’m a proponent for Intelligent Design and everything the film points out seems like common sense to me.

Let me say that I found it to be balanced. Both sides of the issue were represented and allowed to have their say. No interviewer stepped all over the opinions, nor did anyone ridicule the interviewees.

The only real problem I had with this movie was the interlude about the Holocaust and Planned Parenthood. It is an informative contribution to the film and by no means boring, but the pacing is vastly different than the rapid fire beginning and ending sections.

To adequately explain the appeal of this movie one should go into the controversy that surrounds it. Egads! Do you know how long that would take? Opinions on the subject are deeply ingrained and everyone believes they are right.

So, I recommend it to both supporters of pro ID and pro Darwin. I also recommend doing research on the subject. Visit the movie’s official website Expelled the Movie and the site built to contradict the film’s information, Expelled Exposed. Here are some Books on Intelligent Design to help with the research.
